Thanksgiving with Family
This week we traveled to Charleston, South Carolina and celebrated Thanksgiving with my sister, Donna, and her daughter, Kristen.
Kristen had just purchased a new home and we were able to help her with the move.
It is a very nice home with a lot of privacy.
Her backyard.
Our first dinner at the new home.
A turkey dinner with all the trimmings.
While in Charleston we walked the area called The Battery and could see Fort Sumter out in the bay.
One of the many beautiful homes along the way.
Charleston is a six hour drive from our apartment. We left on Tuesday and returned home on Saturday.
Another beautiful home showing the architectural style typical of Charleston.
The Missionary Couple of the Week
Bishop Joselito Neves and his wife, Mafalda, were the first couple from Cape Verde to preside over a mission. They were called to serve in their home country of Cape Verde and served from 2009 to 2011.
Bishop Neves currently serves as Bishop of the Mindelo 2nd ward on the Island of São Vicente.
Until next week...
