Mission Conference

Yesterday we attended our first full mission conference which included all 180 of the missionaries in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission.

All of the missionaries lined up in order by height and gathered for the group picture.

To our joy we were favored to have Elder Bednar from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Texeira of the Presidency of the Seventy,  Elder Martino, a General Authority Seventy and Elder Alba, an Area Seventy, and his wife, Sister Alba.

Prior to the conference we were requested to read and study four talks given by Elder Bednar in General Conference.  The four talks were "Seek Learning by Faith", "Always Retain a Remission of Your Sins", "Converted Unto the Lord", and "Ask in Faith".  Then we were asked to formulate a well prepared question before coming to the conference.  For three hours we were able to ask questions and receive answers from Elder Bednar.  It was one of the most spiritual experiences that we have ever had.  The maturity and spiritual knowledge of the young missionaries further reinforced our confidence in these young men and women and their ability to carry on the work of the Lord.  This is truly a valiant generation.
