Other Churches in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission

As we travel around our mission area, we are very impressed with the beautiful churches of many different faiths.

This is the Eastside Baptist Church.

We are surprised at how large some of the churches are.

Here is the Mountain Park First Baptist Church.

Most of the churches are maintained very well and have beautiful landscaping.

The Eastminister Presbyterian Church of Marietta.

There are many different churches throughout the area.  Many are a typical size, but these are a few of the larger and more elaborate ones.

The Mount Carmel Christian Church.

This one always catches my eye as we drive by.

The Catholic Church of St. Ann.

The Missionary Couple of the Week

President David Winters and Sister Pamela Winters, who reside in our stake (the Roswell Stake), currently serve in the mission presidency here in Atlanta.  President Winters serves as second counselor.

Recently they received a new calling as mission president and will preside over the Ecuador Quito mission in South America.  Their new mission begins on July 1st of this year and they will serve for a period of three years.  Their youngest child, a sophomore in high school, will accompany them to Ecuador.

Zone Council

Last week we had another inspiring zone council conducted by our fantastic zone leaders.

Sister Fowles, Sister Howard, Elder Henderson, Elder Wilkey and Elder Erickson (the younger) are the current zone leaders.

The Family

Children of all ages can have a wonderful time at Smith and Edwards, an outdoor recreation and army surplus store north of Ogden, Utah.

We miss not being able to hold and hug our grandchildren.
